About time MILK Events came back to where it all began! This time round we're bringing a debut and after four years, a special return show with Phibes to Newcastle. In collaboration with Leeds’ very own Lunar Underground for their Newcastle debut, we’re crash landing in the Toon with the most outstanding post exam re-freshers party with multiple takeovers from some of the finest talents the North East has to offer and of course... PHIBES!!!
This crossing of paths will bring new, unseen levels to Newcastle. Clashing crews descend upon the famous WHQ, striking with dubplates galore and that rich sub-low sound we all know and love.
This event will be nothing short of an outer-planetary adventure with none other than Jungle Cakes’ very own Phibes! Arriving off the back of 2 years of solid upheaval in the D&B scene & having been hotly tipped by Deeprot and audiences worldwide, Phibes have rocked lineups all over the UK from Boomtown to El Dorado, but never before have the brothers graced the Toon!!!

Known for their electric, high energy live shows and speaker shaking production, sibling duo Phibes have set the scene on fire in the last 24 months. With an unprecedented catalogue of remixes, originals and a full album firmly under their belt they’ve toured the world in 2018, hitting over 10 countries, 20 festivals and 100+ dates including spectacular sets at esteemed festivals like Glastonbury, Boomtown, Beatherder, Shambhala (CAN) and Isle Of Wight.
Their stellar breakthrough has gained Phibes support from respected artists from across the board including: Shy FX, Holy Goof, Joyryde, Ed Solo, Skepsis, Krafty Kuts, Darkzy, Benny Page, Maduk, Deekline & Freestylers just to name a few...
Having sharing the stage with numerous titans like Chase & Status, High Contrast, Ed Rush, The Prototypes, Kings Of The Rollers, DJ Guv, DC Breaks & Fred V & Grafix, the brothers are well versed in professionally bringing a rave to its peak whether they are headlining or supporting.
In the past year Phibes has received massive support from YouTube powerhouses Deeprot and have become leading UK Drum & Bass artists to watch on social media, scooping up huge, positive support from their fans whenever they release. As well as a host of viral remix hits on their Soundcloud in Voodoo People, Paper Planes, Afterglow, Sound of Da Police and Light It Up, their Soundcloud chart topping releases come as no surprise! In less than 2 years, the brothers have become one of the leading go-to artists when it comes to remixes in Drum & Bass.
The lads just came back from a successful festival season and a nationwide Canadian tour, and lined up a huge 22 Show UK Tour to kick off Freshers week!
2017 saw Phibes stand up, 2018 has seen them walking, in 2019 they’ve no doubt been running towards the top of their game and 2020, well we'll wait and see...
