Somehow it seems 8 years have passed since we did our first booking with Serial Killaz way back in 2011! A lot's happened since then, and we've been lucky enough to host some massive heroes of ours, right here in our hometown, from Chase & Status to Shy FX, Toots & The Maytals, Hype, Hazard, Rodigan and so so many more, it's been an absolute dream come true for us.
We knew to celebrate our birthday this year, there was only one man we wanted to welcome back to Lively Up. One of our all time favourite guests and absolute musical heroes, and a key player in getting D&B the recognition it deserved, Goldie is one of the most important figureheads of the music we know and love.
This year coincides with him celebrating 25 years of his legendary Metalheadz label, which has been a massive influence on us over the years.
Last time he came to Newcastle, he ended his set playing Smells Like Teen Spirit, ran in the crowd and start a mosh pit. Safe to say this one one be for the faint hearted!
We're keeping tickets limited to just 300, to keep that old school, intimate, Lively Up vibe.
