LIVELY UP IS FIVE!

Once upon a time, way back when we were young whippersnappers, a few of our crew came to World Headquarters for our first ever experience of a proper underground clubnight. Deviate was the party, RSD was headlining on Iration Steppas Soundsystem & safe to say, it blew our minds. After hearing the likes of Wayne Smith's Sleng Teng & The Ganja Kru's Super Sharp Shooter through Iration, in a Club that had messages like 'Love One Another' & 'Tolerance' plastered on the walls, we realised we had found our place.

We spent the next year or so watching, learning, planning & saving everything we could until eventually we scraped enough money together to throw our own little party. And so, in 2011, Lively Up was born. Never really even considered that we'd still be here, 5 years later & having been lucky enough to bring some of our musical heroes to the north-east, but here we are & we couldn't be happier!

To celebrate, we're coming through with arguably our biggest ever line-up..!.! Headlining we welcome back the incredible General Levy who absolutely tears World HQ up every time he visits us with his own unique style of dancehall, reggae and jungle. Joining him is a true Junglist & real hero of ours, DJ Randall. This guy is one of the finest Jungle DJ's in the world & someone who we have wanted to have at Lively Up for a long while now, so to have him closing the party with a special two hour set is something we're massively excited for. Check our his countless mixes online for the likes of Mixmag, RinseFM & more & it's easy to see why. Completing the bill it's the mighty Electrikal Soundsystem outta Scotland, fresh from supplying the sound for all our Outlook & Dimensions Boat Parties & bringing a SIX SCOOP stack to the Club along with a bag packed full of the baddest dubplates from the likes of Sean Paul, Sizzla, Dub Phizix & more.

This is set to be one of our most special parties yet & there couldn't be a better way to kick off the next five years of dancing with you all. Thanks so much to everyone who has been part of the journey so far, whether you've been part of the family by performing, promoting, lending advice or anything else, but most importantly by coming along and dancing, Lively Up and all the rest wouldn't be anything without ya!
