SAT 1st NOV 2014 : 10.30 PM UPSTAIRS : DAY 2 OF THE WHQ TWO DAY HALLOWEEN WEEKEND SPOOKATHON : INC THE INFAMOUS SPOOKY COSTUME COMPETITION

At WHQ we love Halloween… This is because we are so spooky. Our Halloween culture & traditions are tight, our dos are legendary & always sell out. So this year to cope with demand, we are running a 2 day Spookathon right across the two days of  the Halloween Weekend, so not only were we open & partying on Halloween night which was Friday 31st Oct, this year we are also spooking Sat 1st November.

As always, we’ll be running our hilarious costume competition. check out previous years over in ‘Stuff we like’ & see all of the fab costumes & get a feel for this insane competition. It’s the biggest night of the year in the Club by miles 

You can get tickets online here, or there are paper tickets in both RPM & Beatdown records in town.

As Halloween approaches, we are getting more spooky & more excited by the day..!!! 

Check out previous years over in ‘Stuff we like’ & see all of the fab costumes & get a feel for this insane competition. It’s the biggest night of the year in the Club by miles.

This is how the competition works – We photo people as they arrive & shortly after the do, we post all their costumes, with a hilariously scathing, Drag Queenesque write up at here, at the WHQ website… It’s all just a bit of fun but it just keeps getting bigger & better every year.

Then people vote for which costume they want to win & once voting closes, the prizes are dished out by Ronnie the dog either at the Club, or she comes round with your prizes, to visit you at your house.

If you come both nights this year, in different costumes you double your chance of winning. It’s cool to come as a gang, if you wanna get a group costume together with your chums.

This year we have increased the prize fund so the overall winner will get £300 cash, 6 tickets for NY Eve, a £50 NY Eve bar voucher, 2 WHQ baseball shirts & free entry to all events at WHQ, plus 1, for the next year.

We’ll also give all the winners of each individual category a WHQ shirt & 4 tickets for NY Eve, so it’s well worth hitting the dressie up box…!

Fancy dress is optional, so if you can’t be arsed & just fancy coming to see all the amazing costumes & share in the hilarity, you are very welcome. It’s really, really great fun & a truly proper, epic night out.

Each year the décor just gets more & more far out & we spookify the entire Club to the absolute max. You’ll be totally stunned… x

There’s not much else you need to know, except that this event is proper, hilarious fun & of course… There is only one Halloween & it’s all about the WHQ. Only we are truly spooky. Not just at Halloween, we’re spooky 24/7, 365 days of the year.

We are already excited & look forward to seeing you – all spooked out! x
